components.
There core is manufactured in a particularly gentle low temperature
process.Around
it is a loop that contains further valuable and indispensable ingredients
for keeping the
koi according to there natural requirements.
This complex production method ensures that all nutrients can be optimally
processed.
"sera" has decided on the technically advanced Co-Extrusion
process: Within the
centre of the extruder nozzle a second, smaller nozzle for the core
material was placed
it ensures that the core is situated neatly within the loop. This is how
"sera" succeeded
in creating a "2-in-1 power food" allowing for a diet finely
adjusted to spring, summer,
autumn and winter requirements
"Sera Koi Spring/Autumn Food, Summer Food And Special Spirulina
Colour Food are
available for small fish up to 15cm (6 inches) with 1mm thickness in
upright bags
containing 500g, for larger koi with 3mm thickness in bags holding 1kg,
2.2kg and a
7kg bucket respectively. the "Sera Koi Winter Food pellets are 2mm in
size and are
sinking this only comes in a 500g bag. for optimal protection of the
valuable products

water temperatures and strong sunlight support algae growth. Therefore an
easy-to-digest diet is very important! During the warm season as soon as
the temperature rises above 17C (63F) Sera Koi Professional Summer Food is

Due to low
temperatures, the koi have only a low metabolism rate during the winter.
However they are still searching for food at the bottom. Very good
digestibility and high bio availability of the nutrients are very
important for the koi in a cold environment. With temperatures below 12C
(54F) Sera Koi Winter Food is the correct choice. Its reduced carbohydrate
level makes it particularly easy to digest for the koi. At the same time,
the essential, highly unsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids [Eicosapentaeneic
acid (EPA) and Docosahexaeneic acid (DHA) provides energy and protect the
cell membranes. The hibernating koi require these valuable ingredients
